In 2010, Al. Neyer, Inc. purchased the historic Vernon Manor Hotel to convert to office space for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Neyer was the general contractor for the project, and they completely renovated it with eight floors being used for offices for CCHMC.
CTS was hired to provide updated telecommunications to the building. Overall, CTS installed 3,200 category 6 cables, eight different communications closets that were all tied together with fiber optic cable, and 1,400,000 feet of cable for 800 users. Completion of the first six floors was expected on a tight time frame and CTS met all deadlines and due dates. A complicated aspect of this installation was the fact that the building was a historical site with little to no above-ceiling access. Project Value $750,000.00
